For preparation to TOEFL disks are often used. Usually they have various strategies of passage of the test, test variants, and set of grammatical exercises. Answering test questions, do not forget to watch time and to estimate, how many  questions you still have. During the test you will face several types of questions. It is better to learn about them at home. Do not hasten to answer, you can miss some information part even if the answer seems obvious. Having chosen the answer, you cannot change it.


Having come on the test, don't forget your passport, the admission on TOEFL and a photo. Don't be late. If you come later you have not passed the test, and nobody will not return your money. You cannot use electronic devices during testing, any papers, books, you cannot eat, drink and talk. There is still a set of various interdictions and if you break them, you will be deduced from a room, and you will not receive any points. The test lasts three hours. If you have started to work, there is no way back.

TOEFL consists of three parts:

Reading: you will hear, how people talk, thus on the monitor their photos and a certain information will be shown. This part consists of two sections: A and B.  In section And you will hear short dialogues between two people. After each dialogue you need to answer a question with four variants of the answers. In section B you will hear longer dialogues with a considerable quantity of participants, and after each dialogue again there will be questions. Themes can differ, but they do not demand special knowledge. There will be a usual modern language. Experience in a spoken language and attention is necessary to you. Try to answer quickly. You cannot pass a question, and then return to it. You can imagine the answer, and look for a similar variant among the offered.

Structure and written speech: there are two types of tasks. The first contain sentenses which should be added with one of four variants. The second contain sentenses with the allocated words which can contain a mistake. Besides, you cannot return to it. Choose a variant which seems the correct to you.

Reading: read the text before the answer. You can return and re-read it. If you do not know the answer, you can pass a question and answer it later. At first answer the questions concerning one part of the text, then pass to the following part. Do not leave answers blank.

The test of written English: you need to study themes in advance. Train to write compositions at home. Check up speed of your printing. You will need to prove or deny certain statements for half an hour, thus using the facts.

Points for TOEFL (from 0 to 300) are calculated under the special formula in which complexity of a question is considered. After the test they can tell you your result, or you can cancel it. Certainly, it is better to receive your point, after all anybody will not send them anywhere without your consent. To enter good university, you need to receive 250 and more points. Such is all the truth about TOEFL, it has anything especially difficult, but it demands extensive preparation.
