It is difficult to force someone to pay for your training: on the general understanding, the people who have money, ideas and experience should get MBA degree. But anyone should try to do this.

So, 23 years old Paulina Kurbashkina has convinced Spanish IE Business School, one of the leading schools of Europe, that she sould get the grant which would cover one third of a tuition fee. «I have emphasized on the age – 23 years – by the moment of application: the overwhelming number of grants are given out to the youngest and consequently, to perspective candidates, – Polina shares her experience. – Also she has paid attention to the balance of professional and scientific achievements: three years in strategic consulting and the finance, the book in the co-authorship, the international certificates. Also she has described in details the financial plan in case of reception of grant and vise versa».

The market of discounts. The number of interested persons on one square meter of the western school now increases: many  schools wish to wait. The MBA Consult company  ascertains  the increase in interest of the clients to full-time to programs on 30-40 %. «Almost all candidates who are passing through us apply for reception of various grants, – operating director of MBA Consult Victoria confirms. – But they approach to a problem formally, not going into detail of stipendium programs and not timing for their reception. Therefore they lose possibility  to cover expenses. Though, on my belief if the person aims to find the grant, he will receive it».
The patience multiplied for time; – here is the keystone to success. The elementary variant is reception of the grant from school in which one would prefer to study: usually they are offered in amount of ten to one year of study.  In leading business schools grants cover 10-100 % of tuition fee. For example, Swiss IMD gives eight grants 30 thousand Swiss francs each this year. Documents should be submitted till September, 30th. INSEAD informs on possibility to receive ten different grants: the various organizations (for example, the Belgian graduates) present students with the sums up to 22 thousand euros. Application deadline is principal: till February, 23rd for a July class and till August, 18th for the December. The school can have some entering levels. Then grants, as a rule, are snatched away by the most operative competitors.

From funds and the companies. Other way  to find discounts for studying is to start to check the foreign organizations. It can be public funds such as American ACIE, holding competition on reception of grants under programs on a name of Senator Edmund Maski, German DAAD or international RFAS. However, it is far not each program gives possibility of a choice of an educational institution. Therefore to find an ideal correlation between money and time requirements some months can leave. You can address yourself directly to a business, offering yourself as the future employee. In rare cases companies give money simply to people they like. For example, one active Russian woman who was studying in Oxford has received half of grant in high school. In search of another she has rung round a number of the companies – and she has found the trustee.
Probability of reception of the grant covering up to 100 % of cost of training is higher at newly opened business schools (10-30 years ago) and requiring promoting of a brand. «Often such schools do not get at all to rating of Financial Times. But just in such schools it is possible to receive a free education. I would advise to pay attention to German and Scandinavian  business schools, – Paulina says. – In their turn, world leading business schools every year reduce quantity and the sizes of grants. At three schools where I managed to learn, – Spanish IE Business School, American Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and German WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management – there were processes of replacement of grants and grants flexible schemes of financing: interest-free credits, installments of payments».

For free. The main inconvenience: as a rule, the student learns about grant reception already after he enters the school. To lower risks one can apply for some MBA schools at once. Whom do they prefer? Candidates are divided on two categories: poor and talented. «The grant can be given out, if the student experiences financial difficulties about which he should tell in details to school. Or if he possesses  exclusive  advantages, – expert Begin Alla Zhavoronkova tells. – With the first it is more or less clear. But here the second category is estimated subjectively. It is difficult to guess, what exactly will interest potential patrons of art».
For example, in IEDC-Bled School of Management (Slovenia) for competition of the grant it  is enough to be the citizen of the certain country, to have the minimum work experience of three years, to know English – accurately and clearly. And now to apply for free MBA at the Oxford business school, it is necessary to possess «aggressiveness and purposefulness for the sake of achievement of socially favorable purpose, including ability to be mistaken, realize the errors and anew to begin work». Feel the difference. At so dim criteria of talent the sure version is to be the best at examinations: good progress still makes impression.
However, applicants may not need to show their talents. At times it is important for schools to involve people of a certain profession: among ten economists one nuclear physicist will look favorably. Women have good chances for free MBA courses: the number of them on a course influences a school place in ratings. All business schools struggle for diversification of the listeners on country characteristic. For this reason at basic schools they are glad to various foreigners. For absolute hit in the purpose it is desirable to secure with the insider information which can be gathered at forums or in correspondence with graduates. They, as a rule, know, which criterion alma-mater appreciates at present most of all.

2. Show persistence: not only schools can give money but also public organizations.

3. Analyze structure of students: gender, profession, nationality. Deviations mean increase in chances  for  grant reception.
