These programs are not presented in the international ratings. Mainly they serve as an initial step for the Indian students-engineers who wish to be trained in management and the finance.

But there is one MBA program in India which is considered a player of a world scene is Indian School of Business in Hyberadad. In spite of the fact that this business school is not accredited yet, this one-year program occupies 20th place in the world, according to rating of Financial Times. And this school settles down in one of the most technically grounded cities of Asia. If you are a student from another country, there can be a place for you, and some monetary grant.

Why students from other countries?

ISB School, as well as any other MBA program, wishes to give to students  international experience in conditions of interaction of various cultures. Last year on a course from 438 students, 4 % were foreigners from Spain,  Great Britain, Canada, Mauritius and Nepal. In the past on the program students from the USA, Pakistan also were trained, Germany and Italy.

ISB recently has increased quantity of grants which the school gives to foreign students. There are two types of grants:

1. International Diversity Scholarships: is given out  to the students, being not citizens of India (applicants of the Indian origin have no right to reception of the given grant), at the rate from 5 000 to 10 000 dollars.

2. ISB – AIESEC Scholarship: this grant is given to the aliens of India who are members of AIESEC, international student’s organisation which sponsors programs on an exchange of students. The grant is given only to three students, its size makes 75 % from training cost.

You can apply for both grants together with an application for admission.

Lacks

In spite of the fact that ISB occupies the 20th place in the world, business school for the present does not possess such powerful brand, as leading two-year programs of the USA and Europe. Actually it is necessary to carry out homework in advance – to talk to people working in branch into which you would like to take root – in the same way as need to offer yourself and to advertise strengths of ISB brand, having plunged in circulation of search of job.

There is one interesting article of Indian business newspaper Mint, which is co-operating with Wall Street Journal. The author considers that MBA program of ISB meets the level of other international programs, but its FT rating can be excessive. The journalist informs that the newspaper used inexact calculations of average salaries. Besides, last four years the school does an emphasis that it has established base of constant teachers, but it has till now strong dependence on coming teaching structure. Besides it is absent in the list of the accredited business schools on the website of AACSB though this school has already begun procedure on its accreditation.

Strengths of ISB

ISB is proud that it advances business. The graduates who have graduated from the school recently, have opened biotechnological and pharmaceutical firms, and also work at quickly developing enterprises in India. But as practice shows, the majority of graduates have made a big jump in career. The most basic directions:
